2017 ST. PATRICK’S DAY FESTIVAL
The festival takes place in Downtown Clover along Main Street on Saturday, March 18th beginning at 10:00 am until 4:00 pm. The yearly festival is open to the public and has attracted more than 3,000 residents. Enjoy events such as the Leprechaun Leap 5K Run/Walk, hosted by the YMCA and Annual Dog Show. Admission to the festival and live entertainment is free. KIDS ZONEKids and adults alike are invited to enjoy a variety of inflatable bounce houses and mechanical rides that are ensured to get some energy out. Carnival rides require purchased tickets. Prices will be listed soon.
5K RUN/WALKCome out dressed in your most Irish-themed costume and register to participate in the Leprechaun Run 5K Run/Walk. All proceeds will go to the YMCA’s Programs for Special Needs Children and Adults. Prizes will be awarded for those dressed in their Irish éadaí (costume). This is a family-friendly event and applications are now being accepted at the YMCA.
DOG SHOWDon’t forget to bring your doggie, dressed in his/her favorite Irish outfit and register them in our Dog Contest. It is one of the highlights of our festival. Download the dog show registration by visiting our event page. Don’t miss out!!!
MUSICAL ENTERTAINMENTWe are excited to be featuring FIFTYWATT FREIGHT TRAIN at this year’s festival. FIFTYWATT FREIGHT TRAIN is a hard rock quartet out of Charlotte, NC consisting of Clover’s own, Darby Adkins (lead vocals/guitar), Kirk Christner (drums), Thomas Dow (lead guitar), & Todd Donnelly (bass). Want to be involved in this year’s event? We are currently seeking vendors and crafters to participate & welcome all vendors. All applications will be reviewed to ensure no duplicate companies are being featured and that there’s a nice selection of food vendors. Deadline to submit your merchandise application is Friday, March 3, 2017. Visit our event page to download and complete the applicable application.
