A Comprehensive Plan is a guide that defines what a community wants to be in the future by describing what the community has now and what it wants to have 10 years from now.
In 2009, the Planning Commission began work on revising the Town's current Comprehensive Plan (2015). The work included an inventory of existing conditions such as population, economic climate, development, etc. It also included identifying specific objectives and strategies for achieving them. The Planning Commission adopted a draft Comprehensive Plan on April 25, 2012, and recommended approval to Town Council. The Plan must be approved by Town ordinance which requires two readings. Prior to final adoption, the Town Council will hold a Public Hearing which has been scheduled for September 10, at 6:30pm, at the Clover Community Center, 120 Bethel Street.
