Clover Parks and Recreation Youth Soccer Program
Clover Parks and Recreation welcomes all people regardless of gender, age, ability or socio-economic status. We encourage participation in programming to all community members in order to promote health, wellness, social skills, leadership training, discipline, personal welfare and special abilities. The Clover Parks and Recreation Department believes that recreation is essential to any well-rounded individual and can enhance the life of anyone that participates.
The Parks and Recreation Department continually offers opportunities for program participation through a variety of venues including but not limited to athletic leagues, camps, clinics, and tournaments.
Recently, Clover Parks and Recreation became a proud member of South Carolina Youth Soccer Association (SCYSA). SCYSA offers many benefits to our program: Coaching Certifications, Certified Referees, Tournament Opportunities, and Facility & Player Safety Protocol Regulations. Please check out South Carolina Youth Soccer Association at www.scysa.org .
Recreation Program: Participants, ages 3 - 16, will learn the basic soccer skills and have the opportunity to play in every game. The activity fee includes a soccer uniform with shorts, shirts and socks. Players must provide their own mouth pieces, shin guards and cleats.
Elite Program: Participants, born in 2003 and 2004 will have the opportunity to try out for a travel team. This team will play against local club teams and play in club tournaments. This program is a “pilot program”, we are testing this type of program for future development. We are attempting to offer a higher level of competition to our members to aid the soccer development in our community.
Athletic leagues programs are offered in the spring and in the fall.
