The Clover Town Council will be considering second reading of an ordinance to adopt the Fiscal Year 2016-17 Budget at their meeting on June 13, 2016, 6:30pm, at the Clover Community Center. The public hearing on the proposed budget will also be held on Monday, June 13, 2016, at 6:30pm at the Clover Community Center. Highlights from the Proposed Budget:General Fund
- Proposed budget assumes property tax millage will stay at 116 mills. So, for example, an owner occupied home with an assessed value of $100,000 will pay $464 in property taxes. The final decision of the property tax millage will be made by separate ordinance.
- No increase in recreation, sanitation, business license or building permit fees.
- 10% increase in health insurance premiums
- Replacement vehicles and equipment
Water/Sewer- Increase in rates based on 2014 Rate Study and in anticipation of January rate increase by Two Rivers Utilities.
- Major meter replacements and building repairs
- Replace lift stations at Hillcrest and Cloverbrook (pending approval of CDBG grant)
Capital Projects- New Centre Park Phase 2 construction
- Old Town Hall and Armory renovations
- Parking lot resurfacing at Clover Community Center and Guinn St
