Water Line Break 3-2-2020

The main water line serving the Town of Clover ruptured at Hwy 321 N around 4pm on Monday, March 2, 2020.
MARCH 5, 2020
Update 2:00pm.  The results from the second round of water sampling are also  negative for contaminants.  The Voluntary BOIL WATER advisory is now over.

MARCH 4, 2020
Update 1:00pm. The results from the first round of water sampling from the recent water line break are negative for contaminants such as coliform. A second round of samples is currently being tested (which takes 24 hours) and results are expected by tomorrow afternoon. As a safety precaution, customers may choose to continue to BOIL WATER.

MARCH 2, 2020
Update 9:10pm  The water line repairs have been completed (1 hour ahead of schedule) and staff is working to get water turned back on.  Do not be alarmed if there is air in the lines.  Full water pressure will take some time.  Water samples will be taken to the lab in the morning and it takes at least 24 hours to get the results.  As a safety precaution, customers may choose to Boil Water.  

Update 7:40pm Town staff has located the ruptured section of water line and have begun repairs which are estimated to be completed by 10:00PM. Water pressure is expected to return to normal levels by approximately 11:00PM. During this time, customers are urged to continue CONSERVING WATER until full water service is returned. At this time there is no reason to believe that harmful contaminants have gotten into the water system but customers may choose to BOIL WATER as a safety precaution. 

Update 4:30pm The main water line serving the Town of Clover ruptured at Hwy 321 N. Staff is assessing the line and determining best course of action to repair. The Town's water tanks are capable of providing water but customers may experience low water pressure until the repairs are made and water pressure is restored. Customers are urged to CONSERVE WATER until water service is returned. Staff will update Facebook and the town's website as more information becomes available.
