• The Property Tax operating millage to increase by 5 mills - from 125 to 130 mills.  The increase equals $20 per year on a $100,000 home.  The 5 mill increase is expected to generate $122,500 in revenue.  The average home valued at $152,300 will pay $792 in Town of Clover taxes which is approximately $30.50 more than the prior year. The Capital Property Tax Millage will decrease from 3 to 2.8 mills.  The net millage increase is 4.8 mills.
• A 2.5% increase to the volumetric rates is planned to go into effect in July 2022.  Two Rivers increased rates in 2020 and 2021 and will increase rates again in 2022 (by 5%).
• Expenses include increases in retirement system contributions and health insurance as well as new positions in the Police, Fire, and Public Works Departments.
• Several technology related upgrades are planned including new body cameras and storage/retrieval system for the Police Department and camera system for Town parks.
• Capital projects include additional funding for future street paving project, parking improvements at Roosevelt Park and at the lot off Guinn Street as well as building improvements to the old Rescue Squad building.  Several of these projects are already fully funded.
• Other facility improvements include renovations to the Larne Building and storage at Public Works.

The Town Council approved first reading of the budget at a Special Meeting on Monday, May 23.  Second (and final) reading of the budget is planned for June 13, 2022.
