County to Take Over Animal Control
The County will pick up unwanted, stray, or injured dogs and cats. The County does not remove wild animals such as snakes and raccoons from private property. Starting May 1, citizens should report lost dogs/cats and strays to York County at 628-3190 or via their website at
www.yorkcountygov.com/animalcontrol.
Annual dog registration will continue to be required. All dogs residing within the Town limits are required to be registered by April 30th of each year. Owners must provide proof of current vaccination record. The registration fee is $4; registrations after April 30th is $14 per dog.
The Town will continue to remove deceased animals from Town roadways; report to Clover Public Works at 222-7700.
