2015-16 Budget Information
The Clover Town Council will be considering first reading of an ordinance to adopt the FY15-16 Budget on June 8, 2015, 6:30pm, at the Clover Community Center.
The public hearing on the proposed budget will be held on Monday, June 22, 2015, at 5:30pm at the Clover Community Center.
The final reading of the budget will be held during a Special Town Council meeting on Monday, June 22, at 5:30pm at the Clover Community Center.
Highlights from the Proposed Budget:General Fund
- Rollback property tax millage and proposed millage increase from 116 to 120 mills. One mill generates $16,312 in revenue as based on the total estimated assessed value of all real and personal property within the town. At 120 mills, an owner occupied residential property will pay $120 for every $1,000 of assessed property value, i.e. a $100,000 property will pay $480 in property tax. Increase expected to generate an additional $32,000 in revenue.
- A $1 increase in sanitation/landfill fees estimated to generate an additional $26,400 in revenue.
- One additional staff person (Recreation Department)
- 7% increase in health insurance premiums
- Replacement vehicles and equipment including a new garbage truck
- Expansion of the Facade Grant and Live Well Clover Programs
Water/Sewer- Increase in rates based on 2014 Rate Study
- Major meter replacements and building repairs
- Establish Replacement & Rehabilitation Fund (R&R)
Capital Projects- New Centre Park Phase 2 and old Town Hall renovations and Armory renovations and purchase and renovation of Rescue Squad building
